Privacy is not a single switch. It can fail when someone is forced to unlock a phone, when an emergency action removes local data but the server keeps sending notifications, when a locked screen reveals too much, or when the endpoint itself may be compromised.
Between 2021 and 2022, four United States utility patents were granted for inventions developed around the UseCrypt secure-communications programme. The named inventors are Kamil Kaczyński and Michał Glet. The granted records identify V440 S.A. as assignee.
US 11,341,218 B2 — different codes, different visible worlds
Granted: 24 May 2022 · Application: 16/257,275
The patent describes a messaging interface in which different access codes can reveal different, internally consistent subsets of an account. Its claims also describe an emergency code combining deletion of a local encrypted message database with a server-side request to unregister the identity and stop future message and call notifications. This is more than a hidden folder: the claimed architecture coordinates what is visible on the device with what the service sends next.

US 11,210,407 B2 — one emergency action across device and server
Granted: 28 December 2021 · Application: 16/257,301
Deleting local messages does not eliminate the risk of a new call or notification exposing the account moments later. This patent describes a coordinated emergency response: a distinct access code triggers deletion of the encrypted local database and sends a request to unregister the identity from the messaging service.

US 11,122,014 B2 — privacy that changes with application state
Granted: 14 September 2021 · Application: 16/257,338
The patent describes coordination between an encrypted local database, the lifecycle of an authorization token and the information shown in notifications. When the application is closed, a notification can omit contact details and message previews. During an authorized session, more information can be displayed. On closing, the database is encrypted again and the token is removed from volatile memory.

US 11,228,910 B2 — the secure connection still depends on the endpoint
Granted: 18 January 2022 · Application: 16/257,371
Encryption in transit cannot protect a conversation if malicious software can access audio before encryption or after decryption. This patent describes checks for selected indicators of compromise and for exclusive access to the microphone before an incoming call. If another application is using the microphone, the claimed system can warn the user and cancel the call. It does not claim detection of every form of spyware.

What the portfolio establishes
Across 55 claims, including 11 independent claims, the records describe separate layers of a secure communications system: what a person can reveal under pressure; what happens locally and remotely during an emergency; what a locked device exposes; and whether a potentially compromised endpoint should begin or continue a call.
Current status: all four patents were granted. Later USPTO Official Gazette notices state that they expired for failure to pay maintenance fees, effective 14 September 2025, 28 December 2025, 18 January 2026 and 24 May 2026 respectively. The grants and specifications remain part of the public patent record. This page does not represent that any of these patents is currently active or enforceable. Status reviewed 30 September 2026.
A patent is not a security certification and does not prove that every product version implemented every claimed feature. It is a public technical record of an invention that was claimed and examined.
